Here's a funny story from when Caroline was 8-months pregnant with Grant. We were in Lamaze classes at the time, one of the last scheduled sessions. The class was held at South Austin Hospital, and before class, Caroline and I stopped in the hospital cafeteria for drinks. Caroline got a 32 ounce ice water in a styrofoam cup.
Fast forward to the class discussion about labor. The instructor is talking about the onset of labor, and the many ways it may happen. As everyone is intently looking up at the instructor and her diagrams of reproductive organs, and as she is describing how to tell if your water is broken, in a room full of very pregnant women, Caroline's styrofoam cup collapses in her hand and she spills water all over the floor. Everyone quickly turns to look to see whose water has broken! That was a pretty inopportune moment for such a mishap, but everybody else (including me) thought it was pretty funny.
